Data Control
WorkWise Technologies Ltd (Wigan, UK) is the data controller for WorkWise. We process your information under UK GDPR, including where you use our website or the WorkWise mobile app (iOS and Android).
No-Sell Policy
Your data is not a product. We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing. Supabase acts only as our data processor.
Secure Storage
Account data and job photos are stored on Supabase cloud infrastructure within the UK/EEA, protected with AES-256 encryption at rest and HTTPS encryption in transit.
Global Standards
While we start in Wigan, we maintain compliance with UK GDPR standards, ensuring your rights are protected regardless of where we scale.
This policy applies to joinworkwise.com and the WorkWise mobile app for iOS and Android. WorkWise is operated by WorkWise Technologies Ltd. Trade workers use the app under accounts created by their employer; business owners manage subscriptions on the website.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the WorkWise service, we collect the following categories of information:
- Name and email address — used to log in to your account. Worker accounts are created by the subscribing employer (your business), not through self-registration in the app.
- Photos and job documentation — images and files you capture and upload through the app in connection with jobs (for example, before/after photos, site notes, and completion evidence).
- Job and account data — information relating to your assigned jobs, employer organisation, and use of the platform.
- Diagnostics and crash logs — basic technical data about app performance, errors, and stability to help us maintain and improve the service.
- Device identifiers for push notifications — tokens used to deliver job alerts and other service notifications to your device. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
- Website usage data — when you visit joinworkwise.com, we may collect technical data such as IP address and cookies in line with our cookie practices.
2. How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your account data and uploaded job photos are stored securely on cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase, hosted within the UK/EEA. Data at rest is protected with AES-256 encryption; all data in transit between the app, website, and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). WorkWise Technologies Ltd remains the data controller; Supabase processes data only on our instructions and does not use your information for its own advertising or unrelated purposes.
3. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing. We share data only where necessary to operate WorkWise — for example, with Supabase as our infrastructure provider (acting as a data processor on WorkWise Technologies Ltd's behalf) and with service providers that help us run the platform under strict confidentiality. Your employer (the subscribing business) can access job data and documentation you submit in connection with their organisation's use of WorkWise.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
The WorkWise mobile app does not offer in-app purchases. Trade workers do not buy subscriptions or pay fees through the app. WorkWise subscriptions are purchased by the business owner on joinworkwise.com; worker access is provided through that employer's account.
5. Retention of Data
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to provide the WorkWise service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. When your account is closed or you request deletion, we remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, subject to any limited retention required by law.
How to Delete Your Data
You can request deletion of your WorkWise account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing taylor@joinworkwise.com. Please include the email address linked to your account so we can verify your request.
When we process a valid deletion request, we delete:
- Your name and email address
- Your account and profile data
- Job photos and documentation you uploaded
- Associated app and login data
Deletion is completed within 30 days of confirming your request, consistent with our retention policy above. Some anonymised or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics and security.
6. Your GDPR Rights
Under UK law, you have specific rights over your data:
- Right to Access
- Right to Erasure
- Right to Rectification
- Right to Object
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at taylor@joinworkwise.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
