Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026 · Version 2.0

App & Website

These terms apply to joinworkwise.com and the WorkWise mobile app (iOS and Android). By using either, you agree to these terms. WorkWise Technologies Ltd (Wigan, UK) provides the platform.

Employer Accounts

Worker app accounts are created and managed by the subscribing business (your employer), not by self-sign-up. The business owner is responsible for inviting, managing, and removing team members on their account.

Platform Role

WorkWise is software for job management and documentation. We are not your employer, labour contractor, or insurer. Agreements between your business and its clients are separate from these terms.

Subscriptions

Workers do not purchase subscriptions in the app. Subscriptions are bought by the business owner on the website. Access to the app is provided through that organisation's WorkWise subscription.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, WorkWise Technologies Ltd is not liable for site disputes, loss of earnings, property damage, or outcomes of work performed. We provide the platform; you and your employer provide the professional service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or the employer's subscription ends. Your employer may remove your account at any time. You may stop using the app by uninstalling it and requesting account deletion under our Privacy Policy.

Detailed Terms

1. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and WorkWise Technologies Ltd when you use the WorkWise website (joinworkwise.com) or the WorkWise mobile app. If you are a trade worker, you typically access the app through an account set up by your employer. If you are a business owner, you use the website to subscribe and manage your team. In all cases, use of WorkWise means you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts and Access

Worker accounts are provisioned by the subscribing business, not through open self-registration in the app. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

The business owner that holds the WorkWise subscription is responsible for their organisation's use of the platform, including creating and removing worker accounts, ensuring team members comply with these Terms, and maintaining accurate business information on the website.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the website and app only for lawful purposes connected with your employer's legitimate use of WorkWise. You must not:

  • Misuse, reverse engineer, or attempt to disrupt the platform or other users' data
  • Upload unlawful, offensive, or unrelated content through job documentation features
  • Share access credentials with unauthorised persons
  • Use the app in any way that infringes third-party rights or applicable law

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

4. Professional Responsibility

WorkWise helps you document and manage jobs; it does not replace professional judgement, site safety procedures, or required trade certifications. Always carry out appropriate checks before undertaking work. We do not provide insurance for works carried out. We do not guarantee a minimum number of jobs or specific earnings.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

The mobile app does not process purchases for workers. Subscription fees, billing, and renewal terms for businesses are handled on joinworkwise.com between WorkWise Technologies Ltd and the subscribing business owner. Worker access to the app depends on an active employer subscription unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Limitation of Liability

WorkWise is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by UK law. WorkWise Technologies Ltd excludes liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses, and for loss of profit, data, or goodwill arising from use of the website or app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount paid by your employer for WorkWise in the twelve months before the claim, or £100 if you are a worker without a direct payment relationship with us.

7. Termination

Your employer may remove your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or website if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if the employer's subscription ends or is cancelled. On termination, your right to use WorkWise ends immediately. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits and governing law) continue to apply. Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, including deletion on request within 30 days.

8. Changes and Governing Law

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights where applicable.
