1. Sign up
Choose Lite on the pricing page (£35 a month, or £350 a year; Rounds and Lite together are £59 a month). When you've paid, you land on Leads with a Finish setting up banner.
2. The set-up interview
This is the heart of Lite. You chat with WorkWise for about 10 to 15 minutes, and it learns how you price, not a fixed price list. It asks about:
- where you work and how far you'll travel
- the kinds of work you do
- your callout fee, hourly or day rate and minimum charge
- what pushes a price up, and any rules (for example, nothing over 25 miles)
- a few example jobs that you price and explain
For each kind of work you say whether you can price it from a description, or you need to see it first. Jobs you can price get a price. Jobs you need to see get a guide range and an offer of a free look-and-quote visit. You can redo the interview any time from the Widget page; your current answers stay live until the new interview is finished.
3. Put the chat on your website
At the end you'll see Your website chat is ready, with a single line of code.
- Press Email it to send the line to whoever looks after your website, or copy it yourself.
- It goes just before
</body>on every page. - On the Widget page, check the website address is yours. The chat only works on that address, so nobody else can use it.
4. Work the leads
When a visitor leaves their details (name, mobile, postcode), you get an email straight away. You can switch on a text to your own mobile too.
- Leads is a board with four columns: New, Contacted, Won and Lost.
- Open a lead to read the whole chat, the price the assistant gave, and any texts and replies.
- Conversations lists every chat, including those where nobody left details, with a one-line summary.
- On a won lead with a date, Add to my calendar puts it in Google, Apple or Outlook.
The assistant always says a price is confirmed by you. It isn't a promise until you've spoken to the customer.
5. The follow-up text
A few minutes after someone leaves their details, a friendly text goes out in your name from WorkWise's number, saying you'll be in touch from your own mobile. Nothing is sent between 10pm and 8am. Replies come to you. Follow-up texts use your 100 included texts (see Texts and reminders), and you can switch them off on the Widget page.
If you also have Rounds, a won lead can become a round customer (Add to my round) or a one-off visit.
