What gets texted
Texts are service messages about your customers' own visits and payments: reminders, visit-done notes, payment links and thank-yous. They go from WorkWise's shared number and are signed with your business name. WorkWise never sends marketing to your customers.
Each customer can be reminded by text or by email. Emails are free and don't count towards your texts.
Reminders
A reminder looks like: "Your business: we're due at 12 Elm Rd on Thursday for your window clean. Reply NO if that's a problem."
- Open Settings and the Messages tab (on the phone: Profile, then Customer messages).
- Switch reminders on and choose how many days ahead.
- Choose which customers get them. Silence means the visit goes ahead.
Replies
A customer's reply isn't acted on automatically. It goes to Replies to review and you get a notification. You choose whether to move the visit, skip it, or keep it as planned. You can also let a customer know about a change by pressing Tell them after you move a visit.
If a customer replies STOP, they won't be texted again by WorkWise. That's remembered permanently.
Your allowance
Every business gets 100 texts a month, resetting on the 1st. The Texts screen on the phone (in Profile) and the texts meter on the dashboard show how many are left. Long messages can count as more than one text.
If you run out, reminders pause and other messages go by email, so customers still hear from you.
Buying more
On the dashboard, open Messages and press Buy more texts. There are two packs: 300 texts for £14.99, or 1,200 texts for £49.99. Bought texts stay on your account until you use them, and packs aren't refundable once bought. Texts can't be bought in the phone app.
Lite uses the same allowance for its follow-up texts and alerts. See Getting started with Lite.
