Moving over from Squeegee, CleanerPlanner or a spreadsheet

Bring your round across from another app, a spreadsheet or even photos of your round book.

Start the import

Open Customers and press Import a spreadsheet. The page asks Where is your round now? and offers three ways to bring it in, plus a fourth if you'd like us to do it.

The ways to import

  • A spreadsheet. Drop in a .csv or .xlsx file with one row per customer. WorkWise reads it straight away and works out which column is which.
  • Squeegee or CleanerPlanner. Export your customers from there and upload the file. Your Direct Debits don't need to start again; see Direct Debit with GoCardless.
  • Photos of my round book. Take clear photos of your paper round book, or type or paste your list. Handwriting is fine. An AI reads it into rows (see our privacy policy).
  • Do it for me. Got a pile of photos or a messy list? Press Send us my file and we'll set your round up and email you within 2 working days. Trying it yourself first is usually quicker, and you can ask once every 30 days.

Check before you save

Nothing is saved until you press Import. First you'll see every row WorkWise found, marked Ready, Needs fixing or Left out.

  1. Open any row to see What we read from your file, and fix the name, address, postcode, price, how often you go, or the next visit.
  2. If a row looks like a repeat of an earlier one, it's left out so you don't double up. Use Import this one anyway if it's really a different customer.
  3. WorkWise never guesses. If rows are missing a price, how often you go, or a first visit date, set a fallback under If a row is missing something and it fills every gap.
  4. Press Import. You'll see Your round is in, with links to See your customers and Open the calendar.

After you've imported

  • Check Settings, Rounds for your working days and where your day starts.
  • Link any Direct Debits you already have from another app: Link existing Direct Debits on the finish screen takes you there.
  • Switch reminders on for the customers who want them (see Texts and reminders).
